Site: Artmaker Studio
Hi, I thought I would start off with the BIOS. I operate a
site called Artmaker Studio. From there I propose to the Internet community
that they require my services to make logos and such.
I use Photoshop 4, PhotoImpact, PSP4, and KPT 3, Eye
Candy 3, and other plugins. Strictly a self-taught artist, I follow my
heart and mind when it comes to art. Usually I go through a very trying
time of guilt about not doing my most recent interest while learning my
newest interest.
So far, I've learned and taught oil painting, especially
portraits, have also learned and taught watercolors. What I'm doing now,
graphic art on a computer, is another field of interest. I do feel that
I'm a beginner in this field though.
Have 3 grown children, and 4 granddaughters, ranging
in age from 7 years old to 10 months.

Hi, I am very new to graphic art. Watercolors and oils
were my first love---but the computer is taking more and more of my time---
I am trying to develop a web site for children. I do
love making computer graphics----for now the programs I am working with are Photo Shop Pro 4, Corel Photo-Paint 7Plus, and Adobe Photoshop---I can see Painter on my Christmas list!

I have been interested in art since Crayons.
The first thing I remember doing was in grade school. It was a Christmas
Card. The teacher liked it so much that she wanted to keep it.
From that I learned that our art never really belongs to us. I have
gone through almost every form of visual expression that there is since
that time, and still most of my work is in the hands of other people.
I have also dabbled in Photography and Videography and I believe that they
are also part of the Visual Art family.
My brush with Commercial Art came as the administrator
of a Training and Art Department for a large Industrial company.
That was in the days when "Cut and Paste" really meant cut and paste.
It was there that I really got interested in the Graphic Art field.
I had the opportunity to work with and learn from many talented individuals
that actually made a living at their art. It was from there that
I moved into advertising. Print and video. I still do some
of that, but I have developed a real love for Computer Generated Art.
Whether for commercial or loftier purposes, that is what I am into now.
My love led me to the World Wide Web where I could not
only learn from the work of others but display my work as well. I
have several pieces on my Art page. Several different kinds of things.
I am also doing all of the graphics on my pages and on some other peoples
too.
Programs that I use include Photoshop 4.01, PSP 4.12,
POV-Ray 3.02, CorelPaint 5.0, and any number of third party add-ons and
utilities. I like doing both the 2D and 3D art. I just go where
the feeling takes me.
For most of my life I never considered or called myself
an artist. A lot of other people did but I always felt that artists
had to be hung in big galleries. Now that I see some of the trash
that is hung in those galleries, I no longer have any trouble calling myself
an artist.
I like learning new techniques and sharing what I have
learned. Here are a few links to some of my more recent works.
I hope you like them as much as I did doing them. Click on the images below
to view the high resolution versions.
This is a Japanese fishing boat that I spotted in the Sea of Japan one
day. I photographed it and then after 30 years I decided to turn
it into a piece of art. It is done to mimic the Japanese wood block
print style. This piece was created using Photoshop.
This is a 3D rendering of a deep-water lagoon surrounded by steep rock
cliffs. The bushes in the foreground were also rendered in 3D.
This piece was created using POV-Ray.
I have always been interested in space. Here are two
pieces. The first is a 2D work using Photoshop, and the 2ND is a 3D
work using POV-Ray.
An unknown planet with 2 moons and a rising sun. Photoshop
This one even has a spaceship in it. POV-Ray.
These and several more works can be seen on my
Art page at:
My
2D & 3D Art page.
I accept any comments critical or otherwise.

Well I have always, well as long as I do remember, loved graphics. It's fun
to look at others but it's sure great to make something by myself too :)
I am hoping to learn a lot about how to use PSP and Photo Shop
too :) I am planning to get Photo Shop later.
I am Norwegian and sometimes I give up (
well for a little while) to understand PSP, it's not that easy when English
is not my native language.

Hi everyone,
I'm Annika and I'm from Sweden.
I am working primarily with PSP4
and plug-ins from various makers.
I did the tutorial on the face which CIA kindly shared with us
on this list. Maybe not so professional as CIA's but a good try. I am currently
also testing MS Image Composer 1.5 Beta version and find that one really exciting.
I have studied a basic course in Multimedia
at the University of Vaxjo, Sweden and also
Informatics.
Well don't know what to tell ya more. Well ask if you there is
something I left out. *Smile*
